Making an icon bounce in my dock "on event"

is there a way to make a dock icon bounce upon an event (i.e., Mail icon bouncing on receipt of a new message)? I know Adium has it as a preference, but can I make it happen manually?

I don't think so man sry. Maybe if you new alot about programming and could edit and create tons of code yourself.
