Hi everyone
I am hoping for some simple advice. I have the Epson R1900 so I can print on large paper. I actually want to print on Japanese traditional paper (it's called washi), which is a little rough. I thought I should use the setting for "canvas" as this printer is supposed to be able to print on canvas. Is that the correct logic? However, I cannot find the setting for that. I try printing with Preview, but can't find any canvas setting. Also on photoshop.
On the Epson website I read that I could download freely some better colour profiles. So I downloaded the one at the bottom of this page:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supAdvice.jsp?noteoid=98484&type=highlights
It seemed to install itself into my macbook, but I don't know how to actually use it (I had never heard of colour profiles until today). How can I use it, and what name will it be under (for example in Adobe Photoshop CS4 ?)
Any other advice about printing on this rough paper would be greatly appreciated. At the moment the print looks rather dull. I am printing only red and black text.
