I have a Mac Pro with two disk drives is there anyway I can make an exact copy from one disk to another? or do I have to make a disk image and then burn it to a new disk?

I believe you can do this with Roxio Toast. It is all around a good program.

One great feature is backing data up to CD/DVD as it will calculate the number of discs needed for the backup.

TBH, it'll depends on the size of the source disc cause some DVDs are actually over 8.5Gb's, so for this method you might find it a impossibility without ripping the content.
