MAKING INSERTION-POINT BIGGER

When you write text or compose an email-message, the flashing insertion-point shows where any new text will begin. Is it possible to make it bigger and more visible ?

There are a few ways to make the pointer easier to see, all located in System Settings > Accessibility > Display

Make the pointer easier to see on Mac

On your Mac, change the size and color of the pointer so it’s easier to locate on the screen.

Thank you, but I was referring, not to the mouse-pointer, but to the flashing insertion-point. I suspect that it cannot be enlarged, but zooming the text certainly makes an improvement.

Sorry. I thought those accessibility settings apply to all pointers, including the flashing insertion point. I guess they don't. The insertion point is always going to be the size of the text. You might like Accessibility > Zoom to zoom into the screen around the pointer.
