Was there any reason for Apple making it so hard for people jailbreak iOS 6? I mean yeah, it voids warranty but I think everyone knows that. Looks like developers have given up on trying to get iOS 6 jailbroken and this makes me very unhappy.
 
Security. Jailbreaking is gaining access to the OS via a security flaw. Apple's main goal isn't to prevent jailbreaking, it's to prevent breaches in security. Stopping or severely hindering jailbreaking just happens to be a side effect. That's why iOS is one of the most secure, if not the most secure, mobile OS platform on the market right now.
