With eBay fees. He will make nothing/lose money.

The way to make money is to learn how to repair them.

My son wants to make a few bits of cash and he's thinking about selling iPhones etc...

Does anyone know how things would work if he bought iPhone's off eBay, jailbroke and unlocked them, then flogged them off on eBay again? Would you make any money out of doing this and generally what price difference is there in say a normal iPhone 3G S and a fully jailbroken iPhone 3G S on eBay.

Any tips would be nice.

Jack.

Most iPhones on ebay are already jailbroken/unlocked. The price difference is between non-jailbroken and jailbroken is $50-100, but you'll end up paying that in shipping and listing charges to ebay.

It's difficult to make money off this process unless you find a way to obtain iPhones at a very low price (usually in bulk).

It's a serious question, I'm not laughing.

And thank you all for your contributions. I'll look in to it.

How old is your son? If he's good with tech, I'm sure he'd be able to get a job or internship somewhere that will pay better than flipping iPhones on ebay.
