Doesn't it seem (from watching their iPhone Pro videos) like Apple needs to convince people that they need to make movies to sell the premium features of the new iPhone 13 Pro?

I once made a video for work with my iPhone but I don't see me (or many people) doing cinematic films...

i’m sure it will be a hit with Youtubers who do sketches or people who film promotional videos or ads. Obviously, the average user is not going to be on a film set situation like in the promotional video, but they’re just showing you the capabilities.

Maybe indie film makers. But the average person probably won’t make use of it. At least not after the novelty has worn off. I took a bunch of portraits when I first got my X. Buuut it got boring pretty quickly and I never use that feature anymore. Thought I’d want to try a night portrait when I got my 12PM…never used it.

I am looking forward to taking pictures with less light.

It may sound crazy but the main reason for me to upgrade is the 3x optical zoom and the ability to focus up close. I think I will use that a lot.

I like the idea of 3x zoom but I don’t think it’s worth the trash f stop. I opted for the 12PM for the same reason 2.5x) and while it’s nice having the extra range I think I would prefer the f2.0 over the 2.2 of the 12PM. The 13PM is even worse
