Making my Xp disc an .iso

Hello all

I have been reading some of the Vmware fusion threads because i am having a problem installing windows. Vmware fusion says that "no operating system can be found' and that the disc i am using is not bootable.

I was told by someone to turn my disc into and .iso file using disc utility. I have tried this many times but much to my displeasure i cannot. disc utility simply wont let me access the Cd and turn it into an .iso.

Can somebody please be of assistance to me.
