Making outgoing calls using Google Voice - Does it use ATT minutes?

When I use GV on my iPhone, it first calls my iPhone. Once I answer my iPhone it connects me to the number that I want to dial. So it uses my phone's minutes, correct? In this sense, GV is not a VOIP system like Skype and using GV instead of my native phone app will not lessen the load on the number of voice minutes I am using on my cellular plan, right?

No, Google Voice is not a VOIP service. Yes, it does use up your AT&T minutes.
