How can I make screen caps from movies or TV shows downloaded from the iTunes Store? When I open the video in iTunes or Quicktime (they won't open in VLC) and I try to make a screen cap I just get a jpg with a checkered pattern on it. Any ideas on how I can do it besides downloading the episode or movie "illegally"?

If you have another Mac on your network, you can take screen caps through Screen Sharing. If you have any other Mac or PC you can use, you can take screen shots through a remote desktop app such as TeamViewer, which works with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Ubuntu, iPhone, iPad, etc.
