Making several divx movies on one DVD-R

I am trying to figure out what steps I need to do next once I rip several movies from Mac the Ripper. I want to convert them to Divx and put them on one DVD to watch in my divx player. Which software do I use to convert to divx (and what is the file extension?). And then which software do I use to burn multiple divx movies to one DVD?

I know this is a very basic question but I had trouble finding previous answers in the forum. If anyone can give me a step by step, I would appreciate it or refer me to threads that tell me what to do. Thanks
