Hi, has anybody tried to make their Windows system looks like MacOS using methods such as those outlined below? I worry that I may corrupt my system.

No and I probably will not.

Not a huge fan of Windows, but need it for school and certain video conversions. So for me it’s okay as it is.

That is a lot of hacky customizations that would likely cause issues and bog down the system...and probably wouldn't look that great. I haven't heard of any of those tools either.

The only thing I would do is install Microsoft's PowerToys Run, which is like Spotlight.

If you can upgrade to Windows 11, then you would have the app icons centered on the taskbar, and rounded corners on windows.

Otherwise, StarDock is probably the most popular tool out there that can do some customizations. StarDock11 can center the app icons and bring the Windows 11 Start menu to Windows 10, which is somewhat like Launcher.

The main issue I have with Windows 10 is that I cannot easily distinguish between files and folders icons on desktop. Often I have to spend a few seconds to find what I want.

Check out Fences by StarDock I use this to organize my desktop. I actually have the full suite, called object desktop, but the small utility Fences allows you to clean up and organize your desktop. If you're having trouble identifying, and/or finding stuff on your desktop, then this will help

Thanks. I am trying a trial version. It instantly solved my problem! Now I want one more monitor for fences.
Do you find the rest of the applications in Object Desktop useful? Will running the entire Object Desktop suite slow down the computer?

I like it, but I only use a handful of available utilities. Some of the other components, can impact performance a small amount

Thanks. BTW, I created some new folders on the desktop. How come they don't get moved to those fences automatically like I activated fence the first time? I rebooted the machine but they are still on the desktop. Am I supposed to drag and drop them to the folder fence manually?
