Male to Female Dock Extender to connect old dock to iPhone 4

OK I know this probably won't get a lot of attention today after the big announcements yesterday but here goes anyway.

I purchased a Fatman Valve Carbon MK2 some time before I upgraded from my iPhone from 3G to 4. I was unaware that Apple changed the voltage on the dock connections between the two models and now my phone shorts out when used in the amp.

Is there a male to female dock connector available which can modulate the voltage change? I currently use 3.5mm jack from the iPhone headphone socket but the sound is a million times better through the dock.

It coverts old, firewire-charging speaker docks ( like my old Apple Hi-Fi) to charge newer phones and ipods via usb. They also make an inline version for old car adapters. I have both and can recommend them

sort of yes...but i'm not so sure...I will contact the manufacturer of the amp to find out whether this product will work.
