Malfunctioning Lock Button

I've had my iPhone 5 for about a month now. The past few weeks, if I press down on the right side of my lock button, nothing happens. If impress down on the left, it does lock. Will this problem gradually take over the entire lock button? If so, should I take it to an apple store to get it looked at?

It should be free under the warranty. More then likely Apple will just replace the phone itself rather then fixing it.
