Malware bites type program for MAC

I need to verify a clean laptop. What free programs are available to scan and remove any virus or malware on a MacBook pro.

Machine runs fine, but I get nonsense on my windows machine from files and email attachements I get from that machine. They get caught in Symantec but I want to clean it up.
