I just downloaded Sequoia which went fine but for a malware blocked alert window I cannot get rid of. Clicking the done button doesn't work. Any idea how I can get rid of this window? Thanks.

Have you rebooted the machine? Sometimes, that is an easy way to get rid of things that persist.

Thanks guys, but those solutions are too complicated for my limited brain capacity. Besides, I'd likely screw something up worse than the problem at hand. So for now, my fix is to tuck that sucker as far as I can get it into the lower right corner and forget about it.

What is StandardsBoostdd? Is it part of your login items? Did it first popup when you tried opening a file or running a program?

The window popped up on launch of Sequoia. Not anything I'm familiar with.

Appears to be malware. Browser extension and or profile.

Malwarebytes might remove it.

Thanks. I'll look into it.

That worked!! :) :) I blocked pop-ups in Pop-up Windows and denied alerts in Notifications in Safari. Now I'll allow in a couple of sites one at a time and see if it returns though only if there's as need to do that. Not sure about that. I was hoping it would be something simple and it was. Thanks guys!

Delete the malicious application.

In vain. The system detected a classic advertising browser Trojan. Delete it. :)
