Malware warning @The Decemberists forum...

When I try to log on I get a warning that reads something like: "Malware detected. If you continue on to this site it may harm your computer. "Continue" - "Go Back" "

I select "Go Back".

Anyone else post there?

I do but don't have any way to contact them to let them know... anyone?

Why not contact the decemberists forum. There should be a contact link somehwere on the site. If not I'd just avoid the place given that its infected with malware.

It is fixed ... I guess...

I couldn't get to the forum. I was warned to go back so I did. But thanks for the input.

Unfortunately this does happen and the typical advice to stay away until its fixed is the safest approach.

Narodnik:Yup. From what I heard...EMI were apparently hacked, so Capitol (the Ds record label) is a subsidiary and were also hit... meaning the Ds were hit.

That is the story on the street, at least.

Stoutwoman:True story, according to our liaison, Stu. He said everything upstream was compromised, and they have been working hard to free up sites like ours. If it's slow, I would guess it's because a lot of EMI server is still under the weather.

Fixed now though.

wow! it is completely gone now... they may be doing some retooling.. i never saw any warning about that though. oh well.. i'll look for them on facebook.
