MAMP problem with password

hi everyone.

I accidentally changed the password of the root user and now have problems in accessing phpMyAdmin.

I tried to change the passwords from the config.inc.php to the one I set but nothing changes. I followed the FAQ but again no joy...

What can I do to gain access to phpMyAdmin again? any ideas?

problem solved. made backups of my htdocs and the db folder. uninstalled everything and then reinstalled everything and moved the folders in their original place.

hope it can help some other people.
