So this has annoyed me for a looooong time. Not sure if I should post this here or in the iOS section but here goes.
As an example, I have a friend who owns two phones. One for work and one for personal use.
In Contacts.app on my Mac which is synced with my iPhone I have their details under one name and the iPhone stored under the 'iPhone' category and his other phone stored under the 'mobile' category.
On my iPhone messages to and from my friend are in separate threads. On my Mac they are combined into one and therein lies the problem.
How do I control which device my message is sent to?
Once I've typed a message in the middle of an existing thread it's pot luck as to where they go. Some say SMS with mobile number A, some SMS with mobile number B, some imessage with mobiel number A and the rest imessage with abc@xyz.com
Any input appreciated. Thx.
