managing mp3s itunes library

Hi,

I recently bought my first-time-in-my-life macbook, and was adding music to itunes from WD external hard-disk. I´ve different folders under my music folder and various sub-folders under them.

I am completely surprised to find out that itunes have now put different tracks in different folder!!! Almost a single folder for everything!!! How do i prevent itunes doing this again??

PS! i´ve been using ipod n itunes in xp for long time now this problem never occurred in xp.

Shouldn't really be a surprise as iTunes ask you how to set up your Library when you first opened the app. Go into the iTunes prefs and uncheck 'Keep my iTunes Library organized'.

well i found out that i had just forgotten to check ´keep my itunes folder organized´under advanced option....thanks anyways for da ans

when you get to reset your ipod 3 times, you will know everything about itunes
