I accidentally found some at a grocery store today. Those little buggers are expensive!

Has anyone else ever had this wonderful, impossible-to-open little fruit before?

The inside looks a bit like garlic cloves, and the taste is unique... a bit vanilla, a bit orange. It works.

I got introduced to them in Malaysia and they are gorgeous, shame can't get them over here otherwise I would eat them everyday.

durian on the other hand ...

I'm a bit morbidly obsessed with finding one. I know it'll stink up my apartment, but I want to try!

They are very good once your nose gets used to their paticular aroma. think rich vanilla creme. with a hint of some fruit.
very good.
try a local asian market they usually have them in the frozen section if they dont have any fresh ones.
