Manually backup of APFS files to NAS?

Hey. Can you still drag and drop files to a external drive even though the file system is in APFS?

I am used to doing this with my Mac and Synology NAS right now.
[doublepost=1507112555][/doublepost]I just realized something. A mov, doc or mp3 should still be theses formats even though the underlying system is APFS, right? So I should be able to still drag and drop?

Yes u can yours router and the underlying protocol handles it all I have files shared on a Windows machine ntfs on my iMac and transfers fine
