Manufacture date and other questions?

I just bought the Macbook 2 GHz. I want to ask whether you know:
1) Where can I see the manufacture date?
2) How can I be sure that this model has the new chassis installed and not the one which caused dark marks after use?
3) It seems that the lid has some glue marks, my mistake I am an idiot, how can I clean them without damaging the smooth surface?
