Map app for on foot with no access to internet (in town)

Hey.

Does anybody know of any good app that can give me maps with GPS made for on foot use when I go abroad? More specific in the Euro area (but US is a nice bonus on top of it). As I will be abroad I will not have access to internet to steam the maps, so they need to be pre downloaded.

Any tips are helpful!
