Map History Won’t Erase on iOS 11

I’m trying to clear my map history by doing the usual swipe and remove and it seems to work for a second or so but they keep repopulating on my map history. It’s really annoying and have no idea how to fix this.

It's definitely a bug and has been there intermittingly since beta one.

I'm able to delete after multiple tries and definitely got better after the 3rd or 4th public beta...but does seem to come up for others.
