I have a problem that is bugging me. All of my music is stored on my fedora core linux server. I share the drive and map it on the mac so I can add my music files to iTunes. When I put on new albums and go into iTunes later I try and click on the Date column in Finder so the newest files would show at the top. The problem is they never sort correctly. I have to manually scroll down until I see the most recent date. Is this a know problem or is there a workaround for it? It sorts by filename ok, just not the date. Running 10.4.8 on Macbook pro.
