I have a new Mac Pro and I have removed the internal optical drive and replaced it with a hard drive. I have an external firewire burner that I will be using instead. How can I map the eject key on my new slim keyboard to eject the Firewire burner?

I don't believe you can without resorting to something like OnyX. Best bet is to use the eject menu.
