Hey all

I'm thinking of grabbing the 16GB touch to replace my 8gb nano. But I'm also considering a GPS unit for driving...so it's one or the other. So the question is, can the Maps App save a region of maps to be viewed offline? Eg, while driving without wi-fi? I'm perfectly fine without turn by turn help, so this will be a real deal breaker for me. Thanks

you can load up the directions before you leave and it'll stay there. But I don't think there would be a way to change your "route" while in progress (meaning I don't think you can save part of the "region" like you asked)

Oh ok. Wait, do you mean directions graphically? Like the road included in the directions and nearby roads...not just written directions like google map right?
