I keep reading that the more people use Maps, the better it will get because it is cloud based. How exactly does people using it promise to improve it? Because of reported problems? Just curious.
 
I wondered this as well. If many users are saying the route is wrong then are they relying on users who reroute themselves to fix the route? It seems odd too me because how else would the map know it was wrong? I call shenanigans.
 
It's marketing BS. Most tech companies are using it to sell their products. Any service, whether old or new is being sold as "cloud" to make it new and up-to date.

It'll die off in a couple of years and a new buzzword will become the new cloud.
