Anyone else having extreme issue with the new google maps website? I'm running the most recent OS and Safari and it makes me whole machine lag whenever I visit the site... never had issues with the site before, but there's a "new" version and I can't seem to go back to the old one
 
I'm using it here on Mavericks with Safari and I don't notice any lag on my 2013 MBA.

You can go back to the "classic" version by clicking the ? in the lower left and selecting Return to Classic Maps.
