Does anybody know if or when this will become available in the uk? I assumed when we downloaded iOS 14 that speed camera locations would be automatically added to maps but it hasn’t so any ideas when we’ll get this feature in the uk?

Is that with Apple Maps or Google Maps? Pretty awesome if free. Will eat into Tom Tom hardware/app and other such sales I imagine.

Does it talk to you? I have a Thinkware dashcam that has GPS speed cam DB built in and issues audio warnings on approach. Nice solution. Although it doesn’t tell you if you are actually over the respective limit or not, just what the limit is.

Unlike a RAC Trackstar system I had 15 years ago! :-O Curious aside, that worked by using a human concierge service you talked to, to specify the route and then it downloaded the route (and speed cam warnings) to the car. It also used the central server to work out actual arrival times and optimal route based on their statistical traffic jam data, and updated you in real time by phoning the data SIM in the car. The car didn’t have a national map stored locally. Great solution for the time, until you lost mobile signal.

To a previous reply it’s Apple maps NOT google maps that I’m referring to, so my Apple maps shows traffic lights that are on my route but no cameras whatsoever am I meant to turn this feature on somewhere? Can’t believe some iPhones got the camera update and not others?
