Maps Update not showing up

I am using the iPhone 4S and I am not seeing any updates to maps at all.

While my friend who is using the iPhone 5 is seeing all the updates. I restarted my phone 3 - 4 times already. I closed the maps app but still not seeing the updates.

I was seeing the Statue of Liberty location.

The old data is still cached into your Maps application. It will update to the new data soon enough.

You don't it will automatically reset itself and then you will get new map data.

Hmmm. The thing is I have been waiting for 2 weeks now. Isn't there a quick way to fix this.

I'm not sure if I believe all this stuff about its cached. One of my relatives has only looked at London, UK, yet the Statue of Liberty is not showing up on hers.

I looked at The Statue of Liberty before it was in flyover and yet I had it available in flyover straight away. Seems a bit strange.
