I am creating a contest for anyone to enter. Here are the guidelines:

-You must list at least 1 item
-No More than 5 items can be listed
-Be specific, use keywords (ex: mms, video recording etc)
-In order to win the contest ALL of your items must be announced in the 3.0 update
-If you only include a portion of mentioned items, you lose
-If all of your items are mentioned, however there are still more items announced, and no one else mentioned them, you can still win
(Ex: If video recording, mms and copy and paste are announced, yet you have ONLY mms and video recording on your list, you can win.)
-If there is a tie between different combos, order of the items announced at the event will take priority
(Ex: If apple announces mms, video recording, and copy and paste, but Joe has mms/video and Jack has copy/Mms; If apple announced mms first, Joe would win
-Items announced that no one lists are null and do not have an effect on this competition

Here is my list:

-Push Notifications
-Improved/New Springboard
-Copy/Paste

Please keep comments to a minimum. Only include items pertaining to the actual 3.0 software update. No new products/sdk. Competition ends exactly 9:59am PST

iPhone 3.0:
New Springboard
Themes for Springboard
Push Notifications
Weather Application displays temperature on icon

My guesses...

~Copy/Paste
~Text improvements (time stamps for specific text if you tap on it, landscape keyboard, a way to copy text to clipboard in one click)
~Slight adjustments to Springboard (new dock, stacks for apps)
~Multitasking
~Spotlight (search apps, contacts, videos, movies, emails, and google)

I'm also gonna go and put in a 6th guess...
~when in a contact, you will be able to see all texts, emails, and phone calls from that person or sent to that person as long as it's still saved to your phone (right now you can only do that with text messages sent).

-new springboard with folders for springboard to organize App Store applications (a must)
-copy/paste
-multitasking
-Mail landscape mode for composing emails
-app store premium section

#6- Safari history search and smaller toolbars to give more room for website viewing (sorry, just had to add that in there, it wont count as part of the contest)

Where did the idea of a 7-icon dock come from? Is there any prize for the contest? Maybe someone could kick in some promo codes to make the contest more intense.

Some guy is saying his friend sent him snapshots of the 3.0 software but he can't show them. It's all bull, none of what he's saying is making sense. But for some reason a few people believe him.

Joe

You go to the contact and then click "text message". If you have the conversation already in the SMS app it'll take you there.

Are you talking about the guy that claims he got an NDA from his friend? Everything that he says seems to make sense to me. I think he is just not going to say anything else because he probably realizes what kind of mess he would be in with his friend working at Apple if he posted the screenshot.

- iChat
- Skype
- screen saver
- iPod visualizer
- iWeb
- some kind of torrent client

(fingers crossed)

It's just the whole "copy/paste can only be used in a few applications or it will kill the battery". It makes no sense.

Heres mine:
  • Copy/paste
  • push
  • google lattitude
  • released shortly after the announcement on march 17
