To what extent do u see the exclamation mark (!) in iTunes?

I know u see when when u try and play a song from library which is no longer there (deleted file), but I'm relying on this to display as i quickly scan through all my 20,000 songs looking for these since i believe i'm deleted some files accidentally via Spotlight.

When exactly do u see this display ?
