Anyone else notice improvements with HomePod Siri over the past week or so? It about coincides with an eero firmware update and there hasn’t been any HomePodOs updates. Controlling Music is snappy, HomeKit Devices don’t get the “one moment… still working on that, your device didn’t respond.”

Maybe some server side improvements, I don’t know but whatever it is, I hope it stays.

Ok, maybe not an “improvement” but back to normal, the way it was pre iOS15.

Strange you should mention that because for a couple of days or so absolutely everything within my home set up, and I mean lights, curtains, you name it, all had a 10 to 12 second delay whenever I tried to control them across anything. Since last night they are all much more responsive, even through HomePods. Certainly not perfect and as good as it was but they have done something at their end without doubt.

I still think it is completely unacceptable that HomeKit responses within the home have to go out to Apple servers first. There is no sense in that at all.

Since the latest beta updates I cannot control my SOMA smart blinds to a percentage through Siri, but that’s another issue.

Yeah you’re right. Not perfect after some more testing but much better. Before it was hit or miss whether the devices would even change states, even if Siri said they didn’t respond. Now it’s working every time, albeit with a little delay. I’d say ~5 seconds.

Sometimes they change states within a second too. I was getting tired of the, “Wait one moment… still working on that, yadda yadda yadda”

A step in the right direction.

They are definitely improving things Siri wise. Besides she being much faster than usual, I noticed that for general culture questions, she no longer tend to send me the info to the Iphone, but answer me right away and then proceed to tell me the source.

Lets hope it keeps improving and that the final 15.4 will be the icing on the cake.
