Marked spam messages in Yahoo Mail still showing up in Apple Mail

As subject states. Anytime I mark a message as SPAM on the web, it remains in my Inbox in Apple Mail until I quit/launch Apple Mail. Gmail doesn't have that issue. With Gmail, as soon as I mark a message as spam it disappears from Apple Mail. Any ideas?
