iPhone 17 Pro Max Marks on my 17 Pro Max

I just noticed small dots on the back side on my 17 Pro Max Silver(out of box), actually you need to focus on them to notice, but still it bothers me for an expensive device.

I can return the device to Apple and get brand new, however, the new one may also come with some defects. That's what happened to me last year with 16 PM. So i'm confused, probably go with the current one.

What do you think?

Lol. Honestly I barely even noticed it. Put a case on it and keep it going. That's not worth returning, imo.

While that’s not ideal, those marks are so incredibly small that exchanging imo just isn’t worth it.

Yeah I would not return it based off that. I can barely even see anything. Like you said there is a very really possibility that your exchange could end up being worse or having a different problem that your current phone doesn't have. So I would just keep it.

It’s a mass produced device, it’s not a genuine Picasso or hand-built car.

Play the lottery if you want and risk getting a screen with issues. Just keep it.

Do you use a case?
I glanced over mine when I picked it up in store (orange 17PM), didn’t notice anything with my (aging)eyes and I for sure will not get the magnifier out to search … I use a case too.
For me the phone is a tool, tools get used and show wear, nothing more, nothing less.

I must be blind. Can’t see defects. However, if you see them and know it’ll bug you, just exchange it. Personally, I’d keep it.

If you hadn’t circled them, I wouldn’t have noticed it. And when you did, it appears to be negligible to me anyway since it’s still barely noticeable.

It’s your phone and you paid good money for it so you should be comfortable at the level of how it appears to you. Because you were bothered enough to make a post about it, you should exchange it for the peace of mind.

I absolutely understand you. Others may say it’s almost nothing, but for me—and for many perfectionists—it’s not enough, right? Specially considering the price and the product" level"

I don’t see anything in the first picture, I think I see it in the second picture. This wouldn’t bother me.

If it bothered you enough to post, then you should return it. It’s the kind of thing I would return a device for. If you have an eye for detail it will continue to bother you. Do you what makes you happy no what other people would do.
