Me and my friend have been making some music lately and we wanted to experiment with some mashing. Does anyone know of any well-working mashing software, preferably free?

Tracktion is a great option, but isn't free. You can, however, download the demo. Here's a beginners guide on mashing, as well.

Alternately, there is Audacity, which is free.
