In front of my Mac.
Over the course of a couple months I have accumulated about 300 photos on the phone. Is there a way to delete these all at once, since I already have them synced to iPhoto?

I don't know of any on the iPhone itself but you could try the following method.

I'm not sure whether it works but you could give it a go:

Create a new folder on your computer and label it, for example, Empty iPics Folder. Don't put anything in it. Then perform a sych with your iPhone, setting it so that under Photos it only synchs this particular folder.

import them all from the phone into iphoto again but check delete imported photos. It will erase them all from your phone, then just delete the latest import in iphoto. (your duplicates)

On windows, the iphone mounts as an external hdd. Allows super quick access to all the photos in the camera roll. Easy to delete, move, copy or whatever I want to do, just like any other file on the computer.

Does the iphone not mount in osx for quick access to the photo folder?

Use Image Capture

Well, that kind of worked, lol. I got rid of about 200 of them, but the "Camera Roll" still has it's pics on it....hmmm.

I was having this same problem too. A search of the Apple Discussions board gave a pretty useful solution. Use Image Capture, Click on "Download Some...", and then select them all and go to Edit -> Delete. Seems to have worked for me.

Here's the link to the Discussion that I found this solution to. (Note, it does require a Mac.)

Hope that helps for the future.

I don't see the "download some..."

OS X or Windows? In OS X, just open up Image Capture, select the pictures in the camera roll and (I'm not sure, there may actually be a delete button right there, but if not) select import and delete. This will wipe them off the camera roll but you'll still have the pics if you want them.
