mass picture resizing program

Hey, I have around 100 pictures with dimensions ranging from something like 280x260ish to like 1600x1600 (album artwork).

i want to make a thumbnail copy of all these... so like change them down to something like 100x100ish...

is there a simple free app in existence that would do this fairly easily? (so i don't have to do each pic individually)

Automator will do this quite easily. It should be in your Applications folder already.

I wish I was home to look at this for you, but if you've never seen the Tekzilla podcast from Revision3.com, then check out last Thursday's full length episode (not the daily), and they had a free app on there that will do this with multiple photos.

I don't recall now whether it was windows only or not.

Automator, as the above poster says, is your best friend.

If you have photoshop, you should be able to setup an automated task to handle this.

You don't need photoshop, just use automator and use the preview resize function to carry out the task.
