I have a Smart Battery case for my iPhone XS Max. I haven’t used it for a while, so I put it on the other day.

What seems to be happening is that the phone will charge off the case, but after a while (and typically after wirelessly charging the case + phone) the phone will drain itself while the case stays at full charge. Reseating the case fixes this for a bit, and also turning the phone on and off will fix the issue. However, if I do nothing and just charge/use the phone + case as normal, the phone will drain itself to zero ... which is complete BS.

There is no problem with the connectors. I thought it was the case itself, but I just got a warranty replacement and lo and behold, the new case is doing the exact same thing.

Is it possible the new iOS has introduced a massive bug with the Smart Battery case? And why is no one talking about? Can anyone here confirm or deny their experiences with the case under iOS 14?
