Match Status Bar & Clock Background?

How would i go about making the Status bar & Clock background match so that the whole section behind the clock and status bar is, or looks, merged as one?

He wants the same gradient used for the lock clock in his status bar, not remove it completely.

To the OP, I don't have my 4S jailbroken (yet) so I can't help you. What I would try to do is find the lock clock gradient image on your phone and open it up in photoshop. Use the dropper tool to select the color of the top half of the gradient. Then make an image the size of the status bar and fill it in with the color from the top half of the lock clock gradient.
