Hi,
My mate has just got a MacBook Pro 15" 1,1, ive tried to help him install CS6, CC, Ableton Live, nothing will install just comes up with this type of mac isnt supported, is it too old? Hes running 10.6.8

Cheers

Let's just say that somehow you were able to install CS6, CC, and Ableton Live on your mate's mbp 1,1.

The mbp would run those applications slower than a relay team of sloths doing the butterfly stroke in a pool of molasses.

I'd recommend looking for a more powerful machine.

Yeah I know, I thought my 2012 MacBook Air was slow running logic sometimes, then I used his machine!

Thanks anyway mate

Hopefully he can find a good machine. With applications like those it sounds like he has an interesting career/hobby, and the right tools for the right job is critical.

Good luck - cheers

CS6 requires a 64-bit processor, and CC requires at least OS X 10.7 on top of that. CS5 is the last version you can get working on that laptop.

Ableton Live 8 and 9 should work in 10.6.8, just make sure you are trying to install the 32-bit version.
