Ive always used a SGP matte screen protector on my iPads. I wonder if it will take away the benefits if a retina screen?

I breifly had one on my iphone 4 and there was a noticable difference in picture qulaity. I would imagine the new iPad would be similar. If you are hoping that the matte screen would make it easier to view in sunlight, the tradeoff isn't worth it.

Or do what you want...

They're great for hiding fingerprints and glare. They're also great for hiding the quality of the display.

Not is a million years!

I can't see putting a screen protector on the screen, period. But a matte would HAVE to degrade the view.

If the matte screen protector is not worth then what else to you recommend? I am tired of wipe dirty fingers off the iPad and iPhone every minutes!!!

PS Crystal Shield. BestSkinsEver, Those are brands I use. Do a great job too

The matte screen protector will affect the clarity of the screen. So it's a trade off, if you want less fingerprints, less gloss, you'll lose the beauty of the new screen.
