Maverick and USB display

I have mid-2012 MBA with 2 displays using Anker USB 3 to HDMi adapters. All was working well in Mountain lion. Now my emachines 211h monitor is not turning on. In system preferences, display finds the monitor as Acer 211h but I can't get it to go one. Maverick OS sees the display but won't turn it on. I even bypassed USB 3 hub and still no good.

Any suggestions?
