I flattened my machine, installed mavericks and then installed bootcamp. Now I'm at a loss where I'm supposed to get the Apple tools for bootcamp that includes all of the drivers. Is there a way to extract the exe for that from the package? I assume it exists?

It should have been an option in Bootcamp Assistant to download them.
Maybe you missed that check box. You can still download them separately from Apple.
