Mavericks and twitter accounts

Mavericks seemed to break my twitter accounts.

I tried adding them and it said I needed to log in from safari.

When I do, I get a dialogue box asking if I want to allow other OS X apps to access this account, but when I click yes and then look in preferences, the account isn't there ... ??
