O.K., I've just tried to download a YouTube video for the first time since upgrading to Mavericks, and I can't do it. What am I missing? With Snow Leoplard I was able to do it easily, but now, not. Is it just me, or is there something that I don't know about?

Thanks.

Safari -> Settings -> Advanced -> Enable Developer Thingy (Bottom)

Goto your youtube video site (preferably in Html 5 and highest resolution) -> Option + cmd + a -> shift + cmd + c -> click on video -> scroll down in the the resources tab -> voila download link (-> right click for html 5 to download)

It worked. Thank you so much.
