Mavericks dictation glitch

I turned on enhanced dictation. Before that, dictation worked fine, but after, it tries to turn on, them I see the spinning set if please wait lines, and it just sits there. If I cancel and retry a few times, it sometimes works again.

How can I fix the dictation feature?
