Installed DP4 on a separate partition on my rMBP alongside Mountain Lion.

I now have 2 recovery partitions and cannot decipher which is which.

Is there a way to figure out which recovery partition belongs to which os in Disk Utility (Debug Mode) or in terminal?

The reason I ask is, what happens if i wish to remove Mavericks from my system. I would want to remove the associated recovery partition as well in order to get the space back.

Thanks in advance.

The recovery partition is associated to the OS in the partition immediately preceding it. So if you have this particular order:

Mavericks
Recovery HD
Mountain Lion
Recovery HD

The first Recovery HD belongs to Mavericks and the second belongs to Mountain Lion.

The recovery partition is automatically removed when you remove Mavericks or Mountain Lion in Disk Utility. At least that's what happened to me.

This is what shows up in my disk utility screen (debug mode).

As you can see the 'Recovery Partitions' show up below the OS partitions.
